We get those artificial grass myths busted
There are a few common misconceptions about artificial grass, and we understand how they’ve arisen. Artificial grass hasn’t been around for all that long, and many people are very attached to natural lawns. However, fake turf is taking off, and for those with busy lives, an area where natural grass takes a beating, or just a desire to enjoy the garden without mowing it, watering it, or fertilising it, it’s becoming a very popular option.
There are a few myths surrounding artificial grass that just aren’t true, and when it comes to Easigrass, we’re more than happy to bust them.
It doesn’t look realistic
This may have been the case several years ago, granted. However, artificial grass technology has come on leaps and bounds in recent times, and certainly in the case of Easigrass, you can hardly tell the difference. It’s soft underfoot, mimics the colour of natural grass, and the range of different pile types helps you achieve whatever lawn look you prefer. Easigrass even includes a dead grass infill to give the artificial turf a far more authentic look.
It’s unsafe for children
Easigrass can actually be installed with a shockpad under layer to provide protection from falls. This means that it offers a safe landing if falling from play equipment or similar. Of course some falls can still result in injury, but our 25-45mm shockpad means injury is less likely. Easigrass is non-slip too!
Water won’t drain away
We don’t blame you for thinking that putting an artificial surface on the ground may prevent drainage, but Easigrass is perforated for that very purpose. Rain water just seeps through into the soil below like it would on an ordinary lawn.
It’s not pet friendly
For a start, your furry friend won’t be able to tell the difference. However, the suitability of this surface for pet owners doesn’t stop there. Waste is easy to pick up from Easigrass products, and as long as residue and urine is watered in, there won’t be any nasty smells.
It’s hard to maintain
This couldn’t be further from the truth. We do recommend one annual maintenance session by the Easigrass team, and rinsing off any dirt and debris. Aside from that, you can sit back, relax, and thoroughly enjoy not mowing, fertilising, watering, or worrying!
